Shopify

Note: The Shopify integration is in beta with limited availability.

The Shopify integration puts your campaign’s Squid on your product pages — a Squid is your campaign’s living, conversational ad — it greets, talks, and adapts. SparkleTree picks the winning variant for each product page, renders it in your storefront theme, and credits completed checkouts back to the exact variant that earned them.

  1. Install the SparkleTree app on your Shopify store. Installation uses Shopify’s standard OAuth flow — approve the requested permissions and you’re returned to SparkleTree.

  2. In the SparkleTree dashboard, open Dashboard → Shopify. If your shop isn’t connected yet, you’ll see a card asking you to connect your shop domain. Enter it and complete the connection.

  3. Once connected, the page switches to your product view. Your products sync from Shopify automatically.

Add the app block to your product template

Section titled “Add the app block to your product template”

The storefront piece is a Shopify app block you place in your theme — no code editing required.

  1. In your Shopify admin, open the theme editor.

  2. Navigate to your product template.

  3. Add the SparkleTree app block where you want the campaign to appear.

  4. The block has one setting: a Compact layout toggle. Turn it on for a tighter presentation that fits narrow columns; leave it off for the full layout.

  5. Save the template.

Once the block is live, SparkleTree renders the winning campaign variant on your product pages. Variant selection is Adaptive CVG: SparkleTree learns which variant performs and shows winners more often, so your product pages keep improving without you touching the theme again.

The app includes a web pixel extension that connects storefront outcomes back to your campaigns:

  • When a shopper completes checkout, the pixel credits the purchase to the exact variant and campaign they saw.
  • Attribution respects shopper consent: the pixel is gated on Shopify’s analytics consent, so shoppers who decline analytics tracking are never attributed.
  • Orders are reconciled back into SparkleTree, so revenue in your analytics reflects real completed checkouts, not just clicks.

You can check that the pixel is working from the pixel status indicator on the Shopify dashboard page (see below).

Dashboard → Shopify is your control panel for the integration. When your shop is connected, you’ll find:

  • Product list — your synced Shopify products.

  • AI product descriptions — an AI review pane for each product. Click Generate to draft a new description (after a first proposal, the button reads Generate again), Apply to Shopify to push it to your shop, and Revert to restore the previous description if you change your mind. Nothing changes on your store until you apply it.

  • Performance panel — how your campaign variants are performing on product pages.

  • Pixel status — an indicator confirming the attribution pixel is installed and reporting.

Note: the app isn’t listed on the public Shopify App Store yet — installation happens through the beta flow. If you don’t see Dashboard → Shopify in your workspace, the integration may not be enabled for you yet.
